I’m hugging my loved ones a little tighter.
My mind is in disbelief.
My heart is heavy.
My tears are racing down my face.
I’ve learned overtime to mourn loved ones, cause not facing or denying the hurt only delays the eventual realities of the pain and creates unhelpful behaviours to numb the pain, also the time and energy wasted trying to fill a space that can’t be replaced.
Just be in it, it will get better, some days not but that is okay.
Thank you for your silent gestures of love. We are connected by blood, so we have an understanding of unconditional love. Though your actions to make myself feel welcome, my wife and children also. My sisters and brother love your company and enjoyed yours and your family’s hospitality. The most powerful statement someone can do is do the things you don’t have to do for another.
You didn’t have to love or care for myself and my family but you did. Thank you.
The most powerful statement someone can do is do the things you don’t have to do for another.
You are a true example of a Great, Loving Husband and Father. As your family and children adore you, I also do and am proud to be part of your family.
Farewell my tokoua… Ofa Lahi atu, I pray for peace for us all who dearly love you and miss your presence.
Rest in Love.
TYL!
